Freelancers It's Time To Stop Getting Exploited

There are 3 Ways I Would Personally Protect Your Business.

A new freelancer will do everything in his power to help the client.

Mainly because he/she is just starting off...

And has a whole line of other freelancers to compete with.

It's tough to stand out from the crowd.

And sometimes, freelancers end up taking desperate measures.

By desperate measures, I mean getting exploited by their clients.

A similar thing happened to our recent client, who was a ghostwriter.

Some clients were not happy with his work and demanded refunds.

While others disputed the overall work quality...

But mainly, he faced 3 issues:

1) His contracts didn't clearly outline what clients could expect or what would happen if they weren't satisfied.

And this led to misunderstandings and disagreements, putting his business at risk.

2) Without clear terms, he often found himself in arguments with clients over refunds and revisions.

This not only caused stress but also hurt their reputation and income.

3) The negative experiences with clients ended up tarnishing his reputation as a reliable professional.

And he worried about losing his future clients and opportunities.

The concerns were justified.

But the good thing was, he wanted to put a stop to it.

And here's what I did with my team to give him a better foundation to stand on.

1) Made A Clear Contract

The first step was to get rid of their existing contract because clearly, it wasn't doing the job it was supposed to do.

We created a simple contract for them instead, which clearly spelled out what would be delivered, when, and how revisions would work.

We also added a fair refund policy that addressed any dissatisfaction.

2) Taking Care of Disputes

We added steps for resolving disagreements, like talking things out or using a mediator, to avoid costly legal battles.

This helped our client feel more confident and in control of tough situations.

3) Reputation Repair:

We added a clause that allowed him to use statistics he was generating for his clients.

For example, views, clicks, and leads. All because of his work.

And because he had the consent to use those stats, he could get more clients.

By taking these steps, here's what happened:

1) Clients felt more confident in working with him, knowing what to expect

2) They also knew how issues would be addressed, should they happen

3) Since the terms of work were clear, the only thing our client focused on was creating quality work

3 simple ways to get closer to their dream life.

Just because issues exist, and you have been "dealing" with them for a while, doesn't mean you have to continue to do so.

Sounds obvious, and yet some people don't take a step to fix them.

Now, if you have been in a similar situation, there's a high chance your contract has holes.

And because of that, your system might be weak.

But there's an easy fix for it.

1) We review the contract

2) We find any loopholes, red flags, and points that could cause client disagreement, and fix them

Takes us under 5 days to do everything with 90% of the Contracts.

Sounds good?
